James "Mike" Lawson - Owner

Mike began his career with HNG/Enron in the drafting and design industry for 20 years before founding JML Design Inc. in 1994. Mike leads his company on the founding principles of integrity, character, cost effectiveness with a customer focused foundation. His beliefs are based on the confidence of hiring qualified people with the same principles and goals.

Sherry Lawson - Vice President

Sherry joined JML in 1994 . Upholding the same principles as her husband, Sherry manages all financial, administrative and employee related matters.

Michelle Stewart - HR Consultant

Michelle has 32 years of progressive HR experience in O&G, retail and consulting engineers. Expertise in employee relations, recruiting, engagement, benefits administration/implementation and performance management.

James Lenzy - Director of Operations

James has 42 years of drafting and design experience from working with various engineering and survey firms. Before joining JML, James worked 18 years in surveying and design drafting, starting as a rodman and eventually becoming the party chief. This position put him in charge of several survey crews directing their daily projects and performance. Working in the surveying field exposed him to many drafting disciplines which has been beneficial to JML. James has been with JML for 24 years starting as a designer of Special Projects and transitioning to supervisor. James became Head of Operations in 2010 and is responsible for all day to day functions.

Michael Lawson - Senior Manager

Michael joined the JML team in 2005 giving him currently over 17 years of technical pipeline design and managerial experience. His experience includes extensive piping design with disciplines in mapping, mechanical, civil, and structural designs. Michael oversees multiple projects at a time and takes pride in his knowledge of work, time management, and providing the highest quality product to meet the customer's needs. He continues to broaden his knowledge of his disciplines with continuing education in AutoCad Plant 3D, as well as honing his skills in all areas of the natural gas field.

Terry Godwin - Senior Manager

Terry has 41 years of technical and managerial experience in the drafting and design industry. Terry's experience includes design and drafting of natural gas facilities such as launchers, receivers, main line valves, meter stations, alignment sheets, property plats, permits, and river and road crossing details. His largest projects include the Florida Gas Transmission Company Phase III and IV expansions. Terry has been with JML Design for 27 years.
